The engine needs an exact mixture of fuel and air in order to run. All of the air enters the system first through the air filter. This catches the dirt and other foreign particles in the air, preventing them from entering the system and possibly damaging the engine.
Brake pads are steel backing plates with friction materials bound to the surface that faces the disc brake rotor. It transmits the pressure applied to the brake pedal to the wheels and stops or decelerates the motion of the vehicle.
Dust captured in any cabin air filter causes a gradual reduction in airflow over the working life of the part, resulting in a loss of engine performance and poor fuel consumption. Its function is also to provide optimal air flow to the engine.
The fuel filter prevents abrasion inside cylinders, particularly in the upper sections. If the fuel filter is not replaced regularly, it may become clogged with contaminants and cause a restriction in the fuel flow, causing a significant drop in engine performance.
As the oil circulates through the engine, it becomes contaminated over time. An oil filter will remove these impurities, in order to ensure smooth engine operation.
The timing belt must be properly calibrated in order to move in sequence with the motion of the pistons. Regardless of what type of motor is present in your vehicle, a failure in the timing belt will cause the engine to suddenly stop. Timing belts are present in engines with overhead cams and are essential to keep these cams turning at the right time in order to keep the engine running.
